General

12th Table Hockey World Championships are held in Turku, Finland. Tournament is sanctioned by the International Table Hockey Federation and is played on official Stiga Playoff boards.

Event is organized by the Finnish Table Hockey Association together with the ITHF.

10th to 12th of June 2011.

Participation

Tournament is not open for everyone. National quotas and qualification tournaments define eligible players. Official squad lists are to be sent to ITHF's executive commitee, which approves the selections and then notifies tournament organisers.

Participant quotas

Open series

8 players from each country; 12 players from Finland as home nation.

The defending champion Roni Nuttunen of Finland gets automatic entry in addition to national quota.

Also the top 10 players of World Table Hockey Tour get automatic entry on top of national quota.

Ladies

3 players from each country; 4 players from Finland as home nation.

The defending champion Maria Yalbacheva of Russia gets automatic entry in addition to national quota.

Juniors

3 players from each country; 4 players from Finland as home nation.

The defending champion Ahti Lampi of Finland is ineligible to play as he is overage.

Veterans

3 players from each country; 4 players from Finland as home nation.

The defending champion Pontus Eriksson of Sweden gets automatic entry in addition to national quota.

Open Teams

5 member teams competition.

1 team/nation; maximum of 10 players/team.

Ladies Teams

3 member teams competition.

1 team/nation; maximum of 5 players/team.

Veterans' Teams

3 member teams competition.

1 team/nation; maximum of 5 players/team.

Juniors' Teams

3 member teams competition.

1 team/nation; maximum of 5 players/team.

Committee of referees

Tables

Height of tables in tournament is 73 cm. That's the height without game board, naturally.

Chairs

There is limited amount of chairs at the tournament venue. Please bring your own chair / add-on if possible.

No Alcohol

There is zero tolerance on alcohol on game premises. Drinking may lead to immediate disqualification.
